چکیده
Background: The number of aircraft-assisted suicides can only be considered a rough estimate because it is difficult and, at times, impossible to identify all cases suicide. Methods: Four recent reports accidents occurring in 1997 Indonesia, 1999 Massachusetts the United States, 2013 Namibia, and 2015 France related commercial were analyzed. This analysis relied on data extracted from accident that supported suicide the: (a) cockpit voice recorder (CVR) flight (FDR), (b) medical history, (c) psychosocial (d) toxicology, (e) autopsy, (f) any methodology utilized aviation medicine. There are some limitations this study. Although analyzed investigations followed ICAO Annex 13 guidelines, there variability their reporting. In addition, investigation represent 2015, during time, has been change way reported. nature explorative. aim was how various aircraft investigators concluded due suicidal acts. Results: four reports, FDR available. CVR also available, except for one where partially Comprehensive histories available reports. Conclusion: To prevent involving aircraft, necessary causes these able provide meaningful safety recommendations. A detailed psychological autopsy pilots likely will assist investigations, as well generate recommendations substantially contribute mitigating pilot Airborne image recording may useful tool additional information about events leading up crash thus investigations.

متن کاملAircraft Accident Prevention: Loss-of-Control Analysis
The majority of fatal aircraft accidents are associated with ‘loss-of-control’. Yet the notion of loss-of-control is not well-defined in terms suitable for rigorous control systems analysis. Loss-of-control is generally associated with flight outside of the normal flight envelope, with nonlinear influences, and with an inability of the pilot to control the aircraft. The two primary sources of n...
